Welcome to St. Francis Xavier Parish

My dear friends in Christ:

Jesus Christ is risen! Alleluia! Alleluia! After the resurrection of Jesus, the ancient Christians exchanged this greeting at Easter. It is an uplifting acclamation, as if to say, God has won and he keeps on winning!

The Glorious Resurrection of Jesus Christ is celebrated in many ways throughout the world, but always with the same sense of astonishment and joy. Easter Sunday is a great day of victory over the darkness of sin. God the heavenly Father has given us life and in the end he takes it back after our time on earth is complete. God has declared all human life to be precious and good. It is God who intended that we should live in the fullness of life forever and so we will.

Even with all the faults and failings of human beings over the centuries we have celebrated the victory of good over evil more times than we can count. Every tragedy of human suffering echoes the Passion of Jesus. God is a part of every moment of our lives with a love that is found in his beloved son Jesus Christ.

During the Easter season, may we bring the light of Christ to every meeting, to every conversation, to every encounter, to every road trip, to every walk, to every visit, and to every moment of our lives.

Jesus Christ is risen! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Sincerely your in Christ,

Father Anthony
